After living in Brussels, Paris and Hamburg, I settled in Uzès twenty years ago. Hosting guests is both my profession and my greatest pleasure; above all, I enjoy doing so in a relaxed, trusting atmosphere—no deposit and no check-in inventory here.
I chose this 18th century-property for the charm of its Provençal vegetation and its historic farmhouse, which I spent years renovating with no compromise on comfort. I am particularly proud of the pool I designed and of the way it blends into the landscaped garden.

The Carrignargues district
Le Mas d’Uzès is located in Carrignargues, one of the most sought-after districts of Uzès. Once part of a vast agricultural estate stretching South of the town, this area has long been devoted to olive cultivation and goat farming.
Over the centuries, human hands have shaped the landscape: to clear the land, dry-stone walls were built to separate the plots. Today, these walls stand as witnesses to traditional agriculture. Scattered across the countryside, mazets once supported olive growers, while the charming capitelles offered shelter to shepherds.
Today, these stone structures still dot the landscape, giving the neighborhood its unmistakable character. The homes built on the former plots enjoy expansive gardens lush with Mediterranean greenery—cypresses, umbrella pines, olive trees, and more.
The region was distinguished by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve (Gorges du Gardon, Uzès and Nîmes on 9 June 2015).
